BIOGRAPHY

Jakub Kwintal – was born in 1981 in Radom, where he graduated fromOskar Kolberg School of Music in the organ class of Robert Pluta, MA (1989-2002) as well as Diocesan Organ College (2000-2002). He received his master degree at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the organ class of Prof. Piotr Grajter and Prof. Radosław Marzec. From 2000 to 2008 he served as an organist at several churches in Radom and Bydgoszcz where he also conducted the choirs. He has also completed the interpretation of organ music courses conducted by such masters as John Butt, Julia Brown, Olivier Latry and Guy Bovet. Moreover, he has played in a few early music ensembles, i.a. Illo Tempore in Bydgoszcz. Since 2008 he has been a lecturer at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music and Artur Rubinstein State School of Music in Bydgoszcz. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Radom Organ Evenings Festival and director of ‘Fioritura’ Vocal Ensemble. Since 2010 he is a teacher at the Diocesan Organ College in Bydgoszcz. In 2011 he became conductor of the Lutheran Choir in Bydgoszcz. In autumn 2011 he released his first album recorded with oboist Piotr Lis.
